The Song of Evil

The Song of Evil tells stories about the inevitability and tragic fates with music and dance. The concert is a part of Anne-Mari Kivimäki's artistic doctoral degree within the Suistamo concert series.

Love and Devotion

Puhti, musician Pekko Käppi and writer-director Johanna Keinänen creates an multi-artistic concert from Finnish Kalevala. The performance exhibits delightfully the prehistory of dating with music, dance and theatre.

Finlandia Showcase

Puhti's 10-year anniversary show, Finlandia Showcase, includes both the new compositions and best bits from the past. Finlandia Showcase will take you on a joyful journey into finnish cultural and mental landscape.

Polar Night Theory

Suspenders snap and accordion howls when the folklores haphazard and the always-unreliable Puhti duo cut through the whole anatomy of the Finno-Ugric anxiety in this humorous and self-ironic performance full of music and dance.

Perkele Club

Perkele Club is a social, relaxed art happening in bars and restaurants hosted and put-up by Puhti. Puhti invites interesting performers from different artistic backgrounds to perform and improvise with them in the spirit of folk.

Kantele person

Kantele person is a mini-folklore-cabaret for two women and an accordion. It is the 2010's folklore, in which Finnish culture heritage is looked from a woman's point of view.

Women and Bags

How does power and its use appear in a woman's body? What about role models and taboos? Women and bags is a performance where dance, music, light, song and speech are intertwined.

Puhti from Finland is a vivid co-operation between a musician Anne-Mari Kivimäki and a dancer Reetta-Kaisa Iles.

The unique sound of Puhti is created by the use of accordions, vocals and rhythmic stomping. From the very beginning one of the key objectives of the duo has been to create intense, energetic and high-quality folkmusic with dance, and to develop a new kind of stage art with those elements. The duo's repertoire consists of a variety of shows suitable for both small club environments as well as large scale festival arenas.
